Prior to the inauguration of Church 3:16, there were several micro youth ministries already operating in The Fountain of Life Church.
However, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya discovered that this particular generation is looking for expression and with his dream for a change in the nation he discovered the needed to set up a macro/umbrella ministry for youth affairs where young people can learn and experience leadership as well as grow in the ways of God.
He has often spoken of a dream he had where God instructed him to take care of the next generation.With this vision, Church 3:16 was established on February 7th, 2010 under the leadership of Pastor Oyindamola Soderu in order to give the youths of The Fountain of Life Church a platform to express themselves and worship God in a radical way.
In 2012, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya took over the leadership of the church and he is assisted by his wife Pastor Kemi Odukoya as well as Pastors Paul Briggs, Seun Shobo, Bisoye Okwoli, Oyindamola Lewis and Oyinkansola Alabi.
From the start of church 3:16 till now, it has always been one ground-breaking testimony after the other. Indeed, we are a group of transformational driving leaders taking over the nation for God.
Our Mandate is simple. It is to Build Transformational Leaders. Our aim is to inculcate a culture of Innovation, built on a foundation of character, with a focus on delivering excellence in all that we do.
In addition to our regular services on Sundays, we intend to do this through diverse and interactive mediums relevant to today's youth (Social media, Presentations,
role plays e.t.c). Our core idea is summed up in Romans 12:2 [The Message Translation]
" Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you".
