29 Apr Unchurched, the musical concert: THE BREAKUP
A typical last Sunday of the month is family Sunday where we fellowship in the main auditorium, but for this Sunday, we had to break the norm for our unchurched musical concert. Yes.
Incredible vocals, enchanting renditions, endearing musicals, intriguing dance moves, amazing solo performances are a few of the narratives that can be used to describe the unchurched musical concert.
A first of its kind musical concert in Church 3:16 held on Sunday 28th April 2019, was such a spectacle to those present, they wished the concert could hold every Sunday.
The concert tagged the BREAKUP which infers that we should breakup from all negative situations; situations that don’t glorify God such as addictions, bad relationships, depression, bad influence etc.
“We should know that God will always be there for us no matter the situation, so we can cast all our troubles on Him because He cares for us.” 1 Peter 5:7.
We had beautiful spoken piece courtesy of Cooldam. The Limit Breakers with a short but entertaining drama ministration. The RGK Dance Group bursting some moves, and of course amazing, uplifting and inspiring musical performances from the GX Choir and solo renditions from Jay, Sam and Tunji. It was indeed a delightful time in the presence of God, no doubt.
The highlight of the service, however, was the special tribute to Pastor J in honour of his birthday from the GX Choir to the delight of the audience and also Pastor Kemi appreciating Pastor J, her husband, and all he represents.
We already can’t wait for the next musical concert and we hope you join us.
